Meet the team
Chairwoman
Marie is a qualified social worker and holds a Master's degree in African Studies. She has experience working with child protection and vulnerable families in East Africa. Marie's main task in Rising Hope is to support the new sex worker project.
Project Manager
Frida is the project manager at STEPS Tanzania, Rising Hope's partner, on our joint project for sex workers. Frida has several years of experience as a peer worker in Tanzania and will together with Elisabeth lead the implementation of the project.
Treasurer
Anne-Marie has a degree in psychology and has several years of work experience from Tanzania. Anne-Marie's primary task in Rising Hope is project development and monitoring. In addition, she helps in the association's development and daily operations.
Project Manager
Elisabeth has a bachelor's degree in anthropology. Elisabeth has done extensive data collection in Tanzania on sex workers and is therefore the project manager for this project.
Founder and Director
Stine has a Master's degree in Social Sciences and has worked with drug abuse in Tanzania since 2012. Stine is responsible for the daily operations of Rising Hope in Denmark and project manager of the Women's Hope project. In addition, Stine supports the development and monitoring of the sex worker project.
Vice-President
Josefine has been a volunteer at Rising Hope for several years and has been on several project visits to both projects. Josefine's primary task is to coordinate Rising Hope's social media and create content for it, as well as develop and maintain the webshop.
Project Manager
Nuru is the founder of The Light of Miracle, Rising Hope's partner in Tanzania. Nuru is the daily manager of the Women's Hope Treatment Center in Bagamoyo, Tanzania. Together, decisions about projects are made, and during project implementation, Nuru takes the lead as local project manager.
